This policy applies to every service provided by Carvidmarine LLC ("Carvid Marine", "we", "us") and to everyone who uses them, including your own customers. It's part of our Terms of Service.
Not allowed
- Sending unsolicited bulk email, or hosting websites advertised by it.
- Phishing, fraud, or impersonating another person or organisation.
- Hosting or distributing malware, or running botnet command-and-control servers.
- Launching denial-of-service attacks, or selling attack services.
- Scanning, probing or attempting to access systems you don't have permission to test.
- Sending traffic with forged source IP addresses.
- Announcing prefixes you aren't authorised to originate, or leaking routes learned from other networks.
- Open proxies, open resolvers or open relays that others can abuse.
- Content that's illegal in the United Kingdom or the United States, including child sexual abuse material and content that infringes copyright.
Outbound TCP port 25 is closed on VPS plans by default. To have it opened, email support@ with your use case. You need a reverse DNS record and correct SPF settings before we'll open it.
How we handle reports
- Reports sent to [email protected] are reviewed within one business day.
- If a report looks valid, we forward it to you. You have 24 hours to reply with what you've done about it.
- If you don't reply, or the problem continues, we suspend the affected service.
We suspend immediately, without notice, when a service is taking part in an active attack, when continuing would harm our network or upstreams, or when we're legally required to. Child sexual abuse material is reported to the relevant authorities.
Repeat violations
If an account is suspended more than twice in 12 months, or a single case is serious, we may terminate it. Services terminated for AUP violations are not refunded.
Reporting abuse
Email [email protected] with the IP address involved, the time with its time zone, and logs or message headers that show the problem. Reports without evidence take longer to act on.
